Adults only. Nursing babies welcome.
Our theme this year is “All the World’s a Stage”, which celebrates our performing arts program and the many wonderful performers we have in this community.
Special thanks to Ami Voutilainen, graphic designer and Butterfly-K dad, for coming up with this year's look & feel and for designing and producing our invitation and various other pieces.
In the spirit of this year’s auction theme and the creative and playful venue, guests are encouraged to have some fun and bend a couple rules as they peruse their closets in preparation for the soiree. Have some fun – come as your favorite artist, performer or dramatic version of yourself.
About this Year's Location – Wieden+Kennedy
A big thank you to Wendy Alejos (Cherry Blossom-K & 3rd grade mom) for lining up the Pearl District Wieden+Kennedy building for our gala evening.
Wieden+Kennedy is a full-service, creatively driven advertising agency based in Portland, Oregon with offices around the world. Some of their well-known clients include: Nike, Converse, Levi's, Coca-Cola, Target, and ESPN.
For those who have not yet had an occasion to visit the space, we are confident that you will find it an inspiring venue for the fun and entertaining soirée that will be this year’s auction. And its abundant artwork and dramatic modern structure will provide a terrific backdrop to our theatrical “All the World’s a Stage” auction theme.
Why has the location moved this year? Although it was initially difficult for some of us to envision the auction anywhere else but at Cedarwood, our team has come to fully embrace the opportunity provided by the Wieden+Kennedy site, and it will be fun to have the event in a location where our wild rumpus won’t raise the ire of the Lair Hill neighborhood or police patrols should we revel beyond the curfew hour.
Off street parking at meters is free after 7 PM. Bluehour Restaurant is located right next door to Wieden + Kennedy.
